Curry Chicken Bun

Curry chicken is one of my favorite dishes.
Every time I mix the sauce with rice and that's just the perfect match.
Of course it could also be eaten with Naan bread or  French bread.
I'm just curious how it tastes if the curry chicken is filled in the Chinese steamed bun.
And... it was good!!

Ingredients

Curry chicken:
- Chicken 400g
- Chinese mushrooms 5 pieces
- Carrot 70g
- Onion 30g
- Garlic 1 clove
- Curry powder 2 tablespoon
- Olive oil 2 tablespoon
- Pepper
- Salt
- Corn Starch 1 tablespoon
- Water

Marinade Chicken:
- Chicken powder 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Pepper 1 teaspoon
- Curry powder 1 tablespoon
- Wine 1 tablespoon
- Corn Starch 1 tablespoon
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil 1 tablespoon

Bun:
- Wheat flour 500g
- Quick yeast 8g
- Water 230ml
- Baking powder 1 teaspoon
- Milk 1 tablespoon
- Sugar 40g

The dried Chinese mushroom has to be soft before it can be used, so put the Chinese mushroom with some water in a bowl and leave it for min. 5 hours.

Slice the chicken, Chinese mushrooms, carrot, onion and garlic into small pieces.

Then marinade the chicken with all the given seasoning.
Let it rest for min. 15 minutes.

Heat up the pan and put 2 tablespoon of olive oil in the pan.
Put the garlic and onion after that. Stir it for 1 minute.
Afterwards, put 2 tablespoon of curry powder in the pan and stir.

Put the chicken in the pan and stir it till the chicken turned into gold brown.

Put the Chinese mushrooms and carrot as well and stir.

Put the pepper and salt in the pan, also, a cup of water.
Let it cook for 3 minutes.
Prepare 1 tablespoon of corn starch in a bowl, with a little water and stir.
Stir the ingredients and put the corn starch water in the pan (keep stirring).
Put the ingredients in a bowl and let it cool down.

Sieve the wheat flour.

Put the rest of the ingredients for the bun in a bowl (behalf the olive oil) and mix them.

The dough should be look like this finally.

Put 1 tablespoon of oil in the dough and squeeze it.
Put the dough in a bowl and foil it. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
If the dough rise till 800g, then it's ready for the next step.

Roll the dough and cut it into 16 pieces.
One piece should weight 50g.

Roll the dough in a ball and smash it.
Put the curry chicken in the middle of the dough.

 Fold the dough.

Put 4 buns in a steam- basket and put the basket in a pan which is filled with water.
Cover the pan with a  lid.
Boil the water.
Then, steam the buns on medium heat for 12 minutes.
*Repeat this part for 4 times.

Time to enjoy!!!

Note:
- The seasoning of the curry chicken is not fixed, you may add more pepper or salt.
- If you want to have a spicy bite, add some chili pepper in the curry chicken.
- If the buns are cold, you may put them in the freezer.Warm the buns up before you eat them.
