Curry Chicken Wings

I'm not a rice eater, that's familiar for my family and friends.
There's only one dish which could change my mind, that is: Curry.
You can make curry with chicken, beef, pork, lambs, seafood and vegetables.
Serve it with rice, bread or naan bread (oven-baked flatbread).
This time I'm going to make curry chicken wings with some simple vegetables. Let's get started.

Ingredients (4 servings)

800g chicken wings
250g carrot
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
2 scallion
2 cubes Japanese curry blocks
400ml hot water
4 tbs oil

Marinade chicken wings
2 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs salt
1 tbs chicken powder
1 tbs sesame oil
Pepper
Dry chilli flakes

Seasoning
1 tbs soy sauce
2 tbs Chinese wine
1 tbs sugar
Salt
Pepper
Dry chilli flakes

Method

1. Wash the chicken wings and dry them before marination.

2. Put the chicken wings in a bowl and marinade the chicken wings for min. 30 minutes.

3. Slice the onion and chop the garlic.

4. Peel the carrots and cut them in chunks.

5. Heat the pan with 2 tbs oil.

6. Pan fry the chicken wings till both sides are golden brown (still raw inside), remove the chicken wings from the pan and put them in a bowl.

7. Heat the skillet with 2tbs oil.

8. Add onion and galic in the skillet, cook it for 1 minute over medium heat.

9. Add the chicken wings and stir fry them for 2 minutes.

10. Season the chicken wings and turn the heat low.

11. Chop the curry cube and put in a small bowl with 200ml hot water. Let the curry melt and give it a stir. Pour this mix into the skillet and add 200ml hot water extra.

12. Give the chicken wings a stir and add carrots.

13. Turn the heat to medium and put a lid on the pan. If the stew is boiling, turn the heat low.

14. Cook the chicken wings for 20 minutes. Give it a stir after 10 minutes.

15. Add the scallion into the stew and taste it.

 16. Serve the curry with rice.

The curry smells so good. I can't wait to give it a taste!

Note
* You can get the Japanese curry blocks in the supermarket or Asian toko. There's different brands and flavours of curry to choose, pick one you like the most.
* Flavour the stew by step 15 with extra seasoning or fresh chilli if it's necessary.
